This is a 1869 letter from Edward A.Wild to Allen A.Curtis.Wild was a General in the Civil war.The letter from Wild reads that he heard the Manhattan Silver mine had closed and he wanted his money owed to him to be put aside.He says he is coming to Austin to collect it.Letter was written in San Fransisco.Signed and initialed by Wild.He also wrote that he thought the only way the mine could be saved was Chinese labor and prices.Has a few tears along creases.Please see photos.
