    Description

    Original bi-fold paper handbill from 1937 at the Steel Pier with a Vaudeville minstrel show featuring Abbott and Costello before they were famous, and with slightly different first names (Lew might be a misspelling). They were billed underneath Ben Yost's Singers and as individual performers, Buddy Abbott / Lew Costello, not as a pair. There is a cartoon image of a blackface character that we have covered with a penny so eBay doesn't remove the listing for offensive content. Overall the condition is very good with normal signs of age. See photos.
