You are bidding on the full price on an Unpatented Placer Mining Gold Claim in Chaffee County Colorado State.  The claims location is on Clear Creek.
The Clear Creek Placers lie up a canyon that was once home to several thriving mining towns which are now ghost towns.
The area is well documented historically for Placer and Lode Gold and Silver. In 1859, a large placer deposit was discovered on Cache Creek, a tributary of the Arkansas near Granite on the Lake/Chaffee County Line.
A year later in 1860 in the California Gulch, near Leadville, another very large and historically well-known gold placer was found.
The area has many Patented mines as well which further speaks to the potential of these claim. Each year the spring runoff rearranges thousands of yards of "mountain gravels" and this process brings an ever new array of values to the stream which runs through the center of every claim.
Dredging and or Highbanking is the most efficient way to work the stream and her gravel, but a small portable crusher and shaker table could be productive as well.
A total of 127 different minerals has been identified in the county. Chaffee County is known to have an abundance of minerals and a surprisingly great number of them are exposed. Those treasures include aquamarine, garnets, pyrite, gold, quartz crystals, jasper, topaz, malachite, fluorite, galena, and epidote.
