    Description
Offered for your consideration is an antique carpenter's scorp or drawknife. Used in the woodworking industry, this tool is from, I would guess, the early 1900s, and is handcrafted by a blacksmith. In very good to excellent 'as found' condition, the tool is free of breaks, cracks or repairs. The blade is straight, with no significant nicks or dings. The wood handles, with brass ferrules, are secure, and there is no wiggle to them. I don't know if these are the original handles or replacements, but they show minor use, and do possess an aged patina. The blade (only) measures about 5 1/8" wide, and the handles are 5 7/8" long. The tool has a weight of about 12 ounces and will ship at a weight of 1 pound 10 ounces, as it will be double boxed for protection. A very nice representation for the vintage tool collection, or one worthy of heading back to the workshop. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thank you for viewing my listing.
