    Description

An antique Qing dynasty Chinese silk robe made from light blue jacquard fabric. The robe has 5 closures, two at the neck and three on the side with fabric knots. There is 1 hidden pocket on the inside flap. The fabric weave has patterns of butterflies and irises. The robe is entirely handsewn. I believe this is a women's robe.
The thing that I found really interesting about this robe is how long the sleeves are. I put it on and the sleeves go well below my fingertips, they are much longer than normal sleeves. This robe is also quite long, it falls a bit below knee length on me. I'm not an expert on Chinese textiles but I have to wonder if this robe is older than the late 19th-early 20th century robes I usually find.
    Condition:
This robe is in reasonably good condition overall with some flaws to note. It is structurally sound and the lining is intact.
Flaws: There are brown stains, marks and some subtle areas of color fading throughout the entire robe. Please inspect the pictures closely. This robe is generally a bit dirty, I haven't tried to clean it but I think it could clean up quite well if someone was knowledgeable enough to do it properly.
    Chest: 26 inches measured flat
Sleeve length from shoulder: 28 inches
    Length: 46 inches
