    Description

    Selling a piece of memorabilia from the Civil War era.  It is a 3 1/2 inch diameter brass State Seal of the Confederacy.  Shows George Washington mounted on his horse(1732-1799) and the Confederate motto and date of 1862.  Contained in its original box, which is in a poor state of condition with one side of the lid or top missing, but otherwise complete.  Silk lining is discolored and partially loose in the box.  Research on Worthpoint shows these selling for 2-5,000.00.   Sold with no reserve.
