Description

I have collected many authentic Civil War items over the past 15 years.  Most have been purchased from antique  stores/malls and stores in Wisconsin.  A few have been purchased on eBay.  In this auction I am offering most of my CW items in one big lot.
The largest (and most unique) item is a Civil War commanders desk which I purchased at an antique show at the Alliant Center in Madison many years ago. I believe the seller had a tag  that said it was a CV Commander's Missouri desk.  I have used this desk to store many of my authentic CW items.  It is made of a hard thick wood and has metal strips on the sides.  It measures  18 x18 inches and approx. 6.5 inches high at the back.
I purchased the next 3 items from a booth in an antique mall (Roscoe) in Beloit Illinois.  It was a large mall and the manager said that the dealer had 100% authentic items as he also taught a course on the CW.
A leather US cartridge case used in the Civil War.  I am pretty sure the brass plate on the front is not authentic - as I placed it on the front since it easily fit.  However  I separately include another thick brass plate that was listed as authentic.

Also included is:
A Civil War grave marker that was never used.  It was surplus but is very rusted on the front and backside.
Grape shot (large heavy metal ball)
A very old compass that is set inside a case made out of wood.
A drinking flask and folding cup that fits inside a leather case.
Very old eating forks
Original bullets from a CW  battle.
I also include some 1862 booklets that are not in great condition as well as a
few more CW theme items (not original).
Also,  I have many CW history books that I will include with this lot  for the buyer when I  meet them in my town just outside of Madison WI.   This is a LOCAL PICKUP only. Thanks for looking.
