Civil War Relic, Barrel, Identified, Gettysburg

This is what I believe to be a cut off musket barrel.  I have no idea what the kind of musket it is as the bolster is strange to me.  I think the barrel may have been mangled maybe by artillery or something else so somebody just cut off the damaged part and saved the rest of the relic.  It doesn't appear to be dug.  Probably a battlefield pick up. Or barn find.  The barrel has "Devil's Den Ledge" lightly scratched into it.  Hard to show in photos. See photo #4.  I believe that is how they may have referred to Devil's Den in the earlier days.  Or they found the barrel on a particular shelf of the rocks.  Has lots of indentations.  Maybe you experts know what they are and what kind of musket.  A nice relic from a well known battle.
