    Description

    Have had it appraised. Old Historical Bassoon, probably from France,
    in playable condition (not for a professional player)
    but NEEDS A LOT OF WORK to get this bassoon up and running.
    Built by a professional in those years, with a small, individual production. There is no brand or serial number stamped, so the origin is unknown. Made of hard wood and finished with black lacquer. Nickel plated application with wear. No whisper keys as usual from instruments in this category. Probably built around 1880, maybe even older. Cork and keys in good condition. Case is
    self-made,
    functional, but very old.
