South Yuba River
in Nevada County, CA near the small Historic mining town of Washington.
The Golden Quartz placer claim entails 22.08 acres of some of the best placer gold mining ground in the mother lode, no question. This awesome placer is located just a couple miles outside the historic mining town of Washington. This quaint little town has a nice general store and bar, other needed amenities will be located in Nevada City or Grass Valley
. Numerous old hydraulic mines and rich hard rock mines are all around this rich claim making this claim considerably rich.
This river can produce massive nuggets including large pockets in crevices that are capable of producing pounds of gold. Bedrock crevices on the claim are going against the water flow creating a sluice riffle effect in the river.
Inside the claim boundaries are some nice gravel bars and exposed bedrock outcroppings for sniping, crevicing, metal detecting and high banking. The beautiful South Fork of the Yuba River runs through this awesome claim for almost 1/2 a mile.
Ancient Yuba Tertiary Channels crossed just upstream from the claim eroding into the river over several millions of years.
Another nice feature to this claim is the close proximity to Nevada City & Grass Valley being only 20 miles by road away for all your mining and camp supplies. The claim has very good access for two wheel drive vehicles off Maybert Road. At the river there is an amazing camp area big enough for travel trailers and rv's. There will be no sampling of the claim without prior approval from us.
