Vintage Chinese Pheasant Bird Water Landscape Silk Embroidered Art

Description

Silk embroidery has been an art form that has been used and perfected through the ages from Ancient China through present day.  The art was discovered for 2500 years ago and has become a highly collectible item.
This piece depicts a water/ocean landscape with what I believe to be a pheasant at feeding time while looking for food in the ocean!  All the damage to this piece is the paper mat around the art which will be hidden once framed; the stitching is perfect and the colors are very vibrant.
The piece measures 27 1/4 inches by 18 inches. The actual art measures 24 1/4 inches x 15 1/2 inches.
