, a vintage wooden fire safety sign, believe to have been posted at the Oscar Meyer plant / factory, in Madison, Wisconsin. Sign from the 1950s or 1960s measures about 12" x 18" and about .25" thick. As noted, I believe it is from the now shuttered Oscar Meyer plant / factory, in Madison. However, I am not 100% certain this is where it came from, though it was in a collection of items from someone who worked at the plant. It is also unknown if this sign is part of a mass production or handmade, but it appears handmade. For conditions, review photos closely, using the magnifying tool or zoom in. Sign in used condition. Some damage to the top and bottom left corners. The other side intact, with holes for mounting visible and usable. Crackling paint, scratches and surface wear. Appears to have been some writing/scribble at the top of the sign. At some point, new adhesive numbers were placed over the painted on numbers, for the extension to dial.
